Radio Setup
The 9L5MS team will work from 160m to 6m in SSB, CW and RTTY. The equipment consists of 3 transceivers and linears. The antennas are verticals for 160m - 30m and beams for 20m - 6m. For 160m, 80m, 40m and 30m extra receiving antennas are used to improve station receive capability. We have a 160m/80m receive 4-square and 2 DHDL's for 30m/40m. We take special care to listen for remote locations and small stations. Goal of the team is to work as many different stations as possible and to be open for the smaller stations ("little pistols"). As an experiment, the team will also try to work 6m EME contacts using JT65 and a 5-el beam mostly from 12 April - 16 April (at moonrise and moonset) when the moon is in a good position.
